Our team took part in a farm building renovation project in Farstad, Norway. Due to high moisture levels in farm building roof structure elements were damaged and had to be replaced. Galvanized Z-profile elements were used as replacements which are more suitable and long-lasting in moist environments.
Old roofing sheets were dismantled (in total ~2400m²) and new PUR sandwich roofing elements and a new rainwater draining system were installed.
As this building is a home for domestic animals, ventilation and fresh air are crucial to their well-being and microclimate, so for this project, an adjustable roof ridge ventilation solution from AS ROTOR was used. Ridge can be opened and closed on both sides independently and is controlled manually.
